Our scars remind us that we survived
If you’re old enough to read this, my guess is somewhere on your body, right now, you have a scar. There was the one time you fell off your bike jumping that ramp. That car accident, which totally wasn’t your fault, but thank God you’re alive. Maybe, you have babies and your body is adorned with “tiger stripes”? If you have a tattoo; consider your art has been permanently inscribed upon you as a scar in the most colorful of fashion. You can’t get through this life without some kind of souvenir upon your flesh to carry with you, wether you like it or not. There is good news though.
“Our scars remind us that we’ve survived.” You made it through. Lot’s of people don’t. However painful, challenging, delightful or woeful the circumstances; scars are additional chapters to your personal book of life. Be grateful you’re still writing chapters other people never will.
The scars on our bodies hold reminders which we sometimes forget. However, there’s occasions when a brief glance can ignite a reminder and transform it into an ever present nuisance to our psyches. Truthfully, we can never completely eliminate scars. They can be minimized with treatments, disguised with tattoos and micro pigmentation but they will always remain. If not on skin; in memory and heart.
What we can do though, is metamorphosize something you don’t want to see into something you want to see; offering a variety of options. We can minimize unsightly spots, scars and stretch marks, making a noticeable difference in their appearance. At Mended Art, where there is a will; there is a way. Nothing is hopeless. Let’s discuss your options and expectations, because we can come up with excellent solutions together.
